DC Brushed Motors (PMDC)
A dc brushed motor — also called a PMDC motor — pairs a permanent-magnet stator with a brush-and-commutator rotor, so it runs on direct current with no external drive electronics. It costs less to build and control than a brushless equivalent, which is why this permanent magnet dc motor family remains the default choice for OEM assemblies where budget, simple two-wire drive, and short lead time matter more than a brush-free service life.
